Fosun, the shareholder of Fidelidade and BCP, more than doubled its profit in the first half of 2024, totaling 217 million euros (1.7 billion yuan), an increase of 160.3% compared to the same period last year. Revenue remained stable at around 11,094 million euros, while investment in innovation and technology grew 16.7% to 4.2 billion yuan. Fidelidade, with 30.1% market share in Portugal, saw its net profit rise 23.8% to 165 million euros, despite losses caused by storms. Chairman Guo Guangchang stated that the strong profit recovery validates the business optimization strategy and that the group is well positioned to accelerate growth.
