Rodoviária Novo Rio, in Rio de Janeiro, projects receiving 500,000 passengers between September 3 and 14, a period that includes Rock in Rio and the September 7 holiday. There are 14,845 bus trips planned, with the busiest day expected to be September 13, when nearly 50,000 people are expected to pass through the terminal. According to surveys by the bus station itself and ClickBus, 77% of travelers heading to the festival plan to go by bus, with São Paulo being the main origin state of passengers, followed by Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, and cities in the interior of Rio de Janeiro state.
