Teen who killed 10-year-old cousin sentenced to life in prison four years after crime in USA

The young Carson Peters-Berger, 18 years old, was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his 10-year-old cousin Lily Peters, a crime committed in 2022 in Wisconsin, United States, when he was 14 years old. Peters-Berger pleaded guilty to first-degree intentional homicide and reached a plea deal with the Prosecution, which resulted in the withdrawal of sexual assault charges, although they remained on record. The life sentence allows parole after 25 years, with credit for the four years already served in custody, in addition to compensation of US$ 30,197.20.
