Vilhena treasure stolen from museum in Spanish province of Alicante

The Treasury of Vilhena, composed of 66 objects including cups, bracelets and bottles, was stolen from a museum in the Spanish province of Alicante. The theft represents a significant loss for the archaeological heritage of the region.
A nine-year-old child was seriously injured after falling from the second floor of a building. As soon as the mother realized the accident, she called emergency number 112. The girl was treated at the scene by an INEM medical team and later transported with serious injuries to the Hospital das Caldas da Rainha.
