A Quaest poll reveals that former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva does not have a single candidate for governor of Rio de Janeiro, with former governor Anthony Garotinho (Republicanos) taking votes from favorite Eduardo Paes (PSD) among Lula supporters and lower-income voters. Paes leads in all segments with 37%, against 7% for Garotinho overall, but the challenger rises to 12% among Lula supporters, despite not declaring a vote for the president. Garotinho's candidacy is under legal challenge and should be decided by the TRE-RJ.
