PCB ahead, PL in last place: ranking shows the parties with the highest percentage of Black candidacies

The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) revealed that 10,206 Black and Brown candidates are registered for the 2026 elections, representing 49.64% of the total 20,560 applicants. The MDB leads in absolute numbers with 628 Black candidacies, followed by Republicanos (624), PDT (614), PL (610), and Podemos (593). Meanwhile, PRTB appears with only five Black candidates, being the party with the lowest representation, while the PCB ranks second with just 15.
