Vasco supporters hold banner at São Januário praising the SAF deal: 'What a golazo Lamacchia'

extra27 August 2026 at 01:26

Vasco fans raised a banner at São Januário before the match against Vitória for the Copa do Brasil, praising businessman Marcos Lamacchia's negotiation for the purchase of the club's Saf shares. The banner, written with the words "What a great goal Lamacchia at Vasco" and "big renovation," was hung next to the social stands. As Vasco Saf is under judicial recovery, the sale can only occur through an auction. So far, Lamacchia's company, Almirante Participações, is the only one that has demonstrated public interest, has already made a low-interest loan to the club, and has signed a binding agreement as a Stalking Horse, serving as a base price to attract other interested parties.
