Brazil sues Discord and demands over 80 million euros after suicide of 13-year-old girl

Brazil's Ministry of Justice filed a lawsuit against Discord seeking more than 80 million euros in damages following the suicide of a 13-year-old girl, who according to authorities had been exposed to harmful content on the platform. The Brazilian government attempted to negotiate a Conduct Adjustment Agreement with the company, but considered the proposals presented by Discord insufficient to guarantee the safety of minors on its platform.
