Observador26 August 2026 at 22:03
The President of the Regional Government of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque, ruled out the ferry maritime connection between Madeira and the mainland as a priority, after a study by the Institute of Mobility and Transport (IMT) estimated a cost of 200 million euros for the regular maritime connection. Albuquerque emphasized that the decision on this matter lies with the Portuguese Republic, thus transferring the responsibility to the central government.
