The São Paulo city government published an ordinance postponing by 45 days the start of enforcement of rules for electric bicycles, scooters, and self-propelled vehicles. The rules take effect on Friday (28th), but enforcement will only begin on October 12th, to allow more educational campaigns. The rules include a speed limit of 20 km/h on bike lanes and bicycle paths not shared with pedestrians, and 6 km/h on those that are shared. Electric bicycles and self-propelled vehicles can also circulate on streets and avenues without cycling infrastructure.
