Almeirim kicks off the 12th edition of the Stone Soup Festival (with photos)

The 12th edition of the Stone Soup Festival was inaugurated in the late afternoon of August 26 at Parque das Tílias in Almeirim, marking the start of four days celebrating gastronomy, local products, and the associative movement of the municipality. The event, which runs until Sunday, features Ferreira do Alentejo as the guest municipality. The opening ceremony was attended by the mayor of Almeirim, Joaquim Catalão, the grand brother of the Gastronomic Brotherhood of Almeirim, Luís Manso, the vice-president of the Regional Tourism Entity of Alentejo and Ribatejo, Pedro Beato, and the mayor of Ferreira do Alentejo, Luís Pita Ameixa, among other local and regional officials and representatives.
