Rescue in tragedy: this is one of the images of the flash flood in Nepal

A massive landslide of mud and rocks collapsed into a river on the border between Nepal and Tibet, causing catastrophic flooding on the Nepali side. A survivor, Keshav Prasad Baral, told Reuters how the flood reached the top floor of his house while his wife was buried under the landslide. After four to five hours on the rooftop, Baral was rescued by a helicopter. One of the most striking images shows the rescue of an elderly woman in one of the worst-affected areas, completely covered in mud.
A nine-year-old child was seriously injured after falling from the second floor of a building. As soon as the mother realized the accident, she called emergency number 112. The girl was treated at the scene by an INEM medical team and later transported with serious injuries to the Hospital das Caldas da Rainha.
