British actor and singer Tim Curry died at age 80 at his home in Los Angeles. Known worldwide for playing the flamboyant Dr. Frank-N-Furter in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (1975), a role that helped turn the film into a cult classic, Curry also won over a new generation by portraying the clown Pennywise in the television adaptation of "It," based on Stephen King's work. Born in England in 1946, he built a career that spanned theater, film, and television.
