Munich Bayern officially confirmed the definitive sale of João Palhinha to Benfica for 14 million euros. In a statement, the German club explained that the Portuguese midfielder returns to his hometown, Lisbon, after one season at Bayern. Max Eberl, general manager for football at the Bavarians, detailed the negotiation process, stating that they spoke openly with the player and found a solution that everyone agreed on. The Portuguese international arrived in Bavaria in 2024 from Fulham for around 50 million euros, after two seasons in England.
