STRAMM demands new single-agent supplement for Horários do Funchal workers

STRAMM, the union of road and metal workers of Madeira, has taken steps with the management of Horários do Funchal for the application of Law No. 46/2026, of August 17, which created a new remuneration supplement for workers who perform the duties of single operator in collective transport. The union is fighting for this legislation to be implemented and for workers' rights to be respected by the transport company.

Fosun more than doubles profit to 217 million in the first half

Fosun, the shareholder of Fidelidade and BCP, more than doubled its profit in the first half of 2024, totaling 217 million euros (1.7 billion yuan), an increase of 160.3% compared to the same period last year. Revenue remained stable at around 11,094 million euros, while investment in innovation and technology grew 16.7% to 4.2 billion yuan.
