A man died of malaria after being infected on an airplane in a rare case of transmission outside endemic areas. An infected mosquito is believed to have entered the aircraft and bitten six airport workers in Frankfurt, Germany. German authorities have already set up traps at the airport to try to identify the source of the insect and prevent further cases.
