At least 22 people died and hundreds are missing due to floods caused by the severe flooding of the Bhotekoshi river in Rasuwa, a mountainous district in northern Nepal, near the border with Tibet. Along the river, dozens of settlements and infrastructure were severely affected, with damage also reported in China, especially at the Gyirong pass. The Nepali army has rescued 88 people alive so far.
